Equitrac Support Extended to All HP Model CM8050 and CM8060 Devices

London - January 28, 2010 -- Equitrac Corporation, a global provider of award-winning print and cost management solutions, today announced the availability of the latest version of Equitrac Embedded solutions for HP Multifunction Printers (MFPs). In addition to providing complete tracking of copies, scans, and faxes, the new solution includes enhanced security features, such as the ability to release prints on-demand from a compatible HP device control panel. The embedded solution is available for Equitrac's entire suite of products including Equitrac Office® for the enterprise, Equitrac Express® for education, and Equitrac Professional® for legal firms and other professional organizations.

Increase productivity - Follow-You Printing® with Secure Document Release increases mobility and productivity by freeing users to output documents at the HP MFP of their choice: across servers, departments and even geographic boundaries. Users can output documents when and where they are needed while avoiding the inconvenience of busy or out of service printers.

Print waste reduction - Follow-You Printing® supports an organization's "green" initiatives by reducing waste through the elimination of abandoned print jobs. Equitrac also enforces print policies by using automated rules and document routing, allowing for certain types of print jobs (e.g. color) to be sent to the most cost effective printers.

Offline validation - Even when a print network is experiencing an outage, users can continue to access HP devices for copies while tracking is maintained. This optimized uptime increases accounting accuracy and ensures document security at all times.

Improved walk-up tracking supports job accounting and cost recovery - Now every print, copy, fax and scan completed at a walk-up device can be accounted for and charged back to the appropriate user or department.

Convenient administration - An Equitrac interface is accessible from the MFP's embedded web page, so administrative staff can confirm that the Equitrac solution is loaded on the device. It provides access to general status information as well as certain administrative functions.

Card auto-registration - With Equitrac Embedded for Equitrac Professional, card auto-registration, enables a user to register a new card directly at the MFP, reducing the time required to register new cards.
