Equitrac Corporation Names James Kano Sr. VP of Worldwide Sales and Marketing
Kano to drive growth of leading print management solution in the global marketplace
Plantation, FL - March 24, 2009 -- Equitrac Corporation today announced the appointment of Jim Kano to the role of Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing reporting to Michael Rich, President and CEO of Equitrac. Mr. Kano will have global responsibilities for Equitrac channel sales, professional sales, marketing, strategic alliances and business development.
Mr. Kano is a 20-year veteran of global sales and marketing organizations. Most recently, he spent 10 years at EFI (Nasdaq: EFII) as Vice President of WW OEM Sales, responsible for controller and workflow software. In this role, he was responsible for managing a global sales organization of over 130 sales, field sales engineers and OEM account managers/directors, driving $300 million/year of revenue for the #1 market share leader worldwide for 3rd party print controllers and software, sold worldwide through over 5,000 resellers. Prior to EFI, Mr. Kano was a Strategic Account Director at Read-Rite Corporation where he was responsible for developing and managing overall business relationships with key OEM accounts in the US and Asia. He holds an MBA from San Jose State University and a BA from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
